Once again, the autumn/winter 2013-14 collections have brought new trends. Girl-boy dressing mixed with punk rebellion, this season is all about attitude and spirit.
The season also combines past and future- best selling designs pulled out of the archives, and being reworked to be contemporary, this is the case with Christopher Kane, Miuccia Prada, DKNY and Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy whose new designs strongly reminisce of past glory. At the same time, young new designers are entering the most prestigious, old-world, brands such as Alexander Wang at Balenciaga.
Despite the expected cold weather, naked skin appears at the shoulders of designs by JW Anderson, Marni, Vera Wang, Maison Martin Margiela, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney. This was warmed up by high collars which appeared at Victoria Victoria Beckham, Miu Miu, Thomas Tait, Mulberry, Etro, Chalayan, John Galliano, JW Anderson, J JS Lee, Issa London, Chanel and Emanuel Ungaro.
